This policy explains what Emergency Electrician SG (emergencyelectrician.sg) does with personal data, and how it meets Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

It covers every page on the site, from the Singapore electrician enquiry home page to the HDB flat electrical guide and the enquiry form itself.

What we collect

Enquiry form. When you submit the form on the contact page, we collect what you type into it: typically your name, a contact number or email, your area in Singapore, and a description of the electrical fault. We do not ask for NRIC, payment details or any other identity document, and you should not send them.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get read. It records technical data such as device type, approximate location and referring page. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.

Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request data including IP address, for security and abuse prevention.

Why we use it

Enquiry data is used for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you want the job done, to pass it to a Licensed Electrical Worker who can do it. Analytics data is used to decide which guides to write and fix. We do not sell personal data, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

Who processes it

  • Formaloo, hosts the enquiry form and stores submissions.
  • Google (Analytics 4), aggregate usage measurement.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery and request logging.
  • The electrician who takes your job, receives only what is needed to attend and quote.

These providers operate infrastructure outside Singapore, so your data may be processed overseas under their own contractual protections.

How long we keep it

Enquiry submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle the job and any follow-up question about it, and are deleted on request. Analytics data is retained on Google’s standard retention setting. Server logs are retained by Cloudflare on their standard schedule.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own measurement cookies. You can block them in your browser without losing any function on this site, every page works with scripts disabled, including the guides and the price guide.

Your rights under the PDPA

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent to further contact. Send the request through the contact form and say clearly which of those you want. We will act on it within a reasonable period, and withdrawing consent will not affect anything we were legally required to keep.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Enquiry data sits with Formaloo under their security controls rather than on a database we run. No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version replaces this one at this URL, and the last-edited date at the foot of the page updates automatically from the site’s revision history.

What actually happens to an enquiry
What happens to an enquiry after you send it An enquiry is read and triaged, with anything describing sparks, burning smells or a flat with no power jumping the queue. You are then given an arrival window and the diagnosis cost before anyone travels. If the job goes ahead, the details are passed to the licensed electrical worker attending. The enquiry is not sold and is not added to a marketing list. 1. Read Triaged, with safety issues ahead of the rest 2. Answered Arrival window and diagnosis cost, before anyone travels 3. Briefed Passed only to the licensed worker who attends 4. Ends Not sold, not listed, deletable Never send NRIC or payment details through the form Neither is ever needed to book a job, and no legitimate electrician will ask for them to attend. If you see smoke or fire, call SCDF on 995 first. A form is the wrong tool for that minute. You can ask for an enquiry to be deleted at any point, whether or not the job went ahead.
The same diagram as on the contact page, because the policy and the practice should describe the same thing.
From the trade
You have to let your electrician know where you want to turn on these devices from.

What it means for you: The details we ask for exist to brief the attending worker properly. Anything beyond that: NRIC, payment details, is never needed to book a job.
The same standard applied to figures
How a number gets onto this site Four steps. A figure is taken from a published source, never estimated. The publisher and the date are recorded with it. Where two sources disagree, both are shown rather than averaged. And every page ends with the list of sources behind its figures, so a reader can check any of them without asking. 1. Published Taken from a third-party source, never estimated by us. 2. Dated Publisher and date recorded alongside the figure itself. 3. Not averaged Where sources disagree, both are shown, and labelled. 4. Listed At the foot of every page. What this is not Not our rate card. We publish none, because we have none to publish. What it is for So you can tell a market range from a number someone made up. Published prices move. Where a figure no longer matches its source, the source wins.
Where a claim on this site carries a number, it carries its source. That includes claims about how data is handled.

Sources for every figure on this page
